I learned so much throughout this ecochallenge and I'll still be learning! Well done everyone for keeping up until the end! Keep goijg and keep building on your newly formed habits as environmental sustainability is a journey towards a better future.

Environment Agency data shows water companies in England discharged raw sewage into rivers and seas for more than 2.7m hours in 2021, in 372,533 incidents. Outrageous!

Environmentalist campaigners are taking legal action against water companies and I am aiming to write to my MP to support this decision and urge our government to take action to keep our waters clean and update our outdated sewage pipes (dated from the victorian era!)

Respecting individuals gender identity shouldn't have to be difficult. I can't believe we live in a world where equity for gender diverse individuals still has to be discussed. Surely if we could attain equity, our society will be much happier.

What is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?

My total water footprint is 920 m³ per year Ouch! I use low flow shower heads and collect the "initially cold water" from the shower for watering my indoor plants and reduce my water use. The shower heads are available for free in the UK if you order them through your water provider. My next goal is to really work towards having shorter showers (under 4mn) when I'm washing my hair which can be a struggle!

For those of you who wants to find out their water footprint and are based in the UK - I found a UK-based calculator here:   Personal calculator - extended (waterfootprint.org)

I recently went to the Broxtowe Green Festival and it's been so refreshing to meet like minded people that share similar visions for our planet.

I sure will keep in touch with climate action organizations in my area and support them on raising awareness to our government through various impactful actions.

One of the area of climate action I am the most passionate about is around fossil fuels and How can we make our energy consumption greener.

To support your local community, why don't you actively ensure that for every grocery shopping you do, to pick up one essential item for your local food bank? A tin of soup, a pack of biscuits, period pads,... a small action that doesn't break the bank with such a high impact supporting the people who needs it most.
