What is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?

I will reduce my water use by checking my washing machine and dishwasher for clogs and making updates to energy-efficient models when I can. I have started collecting rain this year to water my garden and grass with.
  • Reflection Question
Climate & Ecosystems Ecological & Xeriscape Gardening
What ecological or xeriscape landscaping practices do you have? How has your landscape changed from these practices?

I am working on adding a garden to my yard, this year. I did not realize how much goes into planning out a garden to last! I will definitely be conscious of the plants I get, and have been trying to buy only local and organic plants and fertilizers to not harm the water that will cycle through.
  • Reflection Question
Climate & Ecosystems Calculate Your Carbon Impact
What is one way you will reduce your carbon foorprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?

I am going to start purchasing food that creates less waste to reduce my carbon footprint. I already regularly ride my bike places, with my dog, to reduce my gas usage.
  • Reflection Question
Basic Needs & Security Know Your Produce
What surprised you about the two produce lists? How will you use these lists for your grocery shopping? Have you used these lists before?

I was surprised to see so many fruits and veggies I like on the dirty list. I need to start switching to organic options for some of my favorites, like strawberries.
