REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & Livelihood Share Your Eco HabitsHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
Elma Carolino 4/25/2023 9:44 AMI have been in Pescatarian diet since January. It helps good digestion and definitely a good BP. This and a 20-30 min daily Yoga makes me feel better and healthier. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & Communities Choose LED BulbsChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Elma Carolino 4/13/2023 7:24 AMI refurb the old house where we are living. This includes changing all incandescent bulbs to led bulbs. I am paying lesser in my electric bills and keeping my house lighted at night. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & Communities Carry My TrashWhat one thing will you do right away to reduce your waste? What is the second thing you will do?
Elma Carolino 4/04/2023 7:02 AMI don't throw away peels from veg and fruits. Made an old paint container into a compost bin where I stock all the biodegradable, add brown paper on top to avoid foul smell and holes at the bottom to direct liquid to the soil underneath. Almost to the brim now. Once ready, will use as fertilizer.

REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Plant a TreeHow is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?
Elma Carolino 4/03/2023 4:59 PMWhen’s the best time to plant a tree? An old friend said it’s 20 years ago.
Me and my family moved in 2018 to a completely concrete paved industrial lot. It was so hot. My boys removed parts of the concrete pavement slowly and created a 9 ft x 5 ft pocket garden of native trees: Kalantas, Narra, Dao, Amugis and Kawayan. 5 years after, temperature is much lower and we enjoy the cool breeze these trees and plants bring in our home. Recently, our family is starting to grow seedlings of Balayong (Palawan Cherry blossoms) to plant and to share with friends who are plant enthusiasts.
When’s the next best time to plant a tree? It is NOW.
