  • Reflection Question
    Electricity Calculate My Carbon Footprint
What stood out to you most about your carbon footprint? What surprised you or sparked curiosity? Where can you take most immediate action?

The amount of water and electricity we use can be reduced with some more mindful actions. I would like to understand more about whether there are local programs that contribute to clean energy.

It is difficult to check in every day, but whether or not I am checked in online, this challenge has made me more aware of my economical impact daily.

What are your next steps for saving energy?

I think our household could look at the water consumption. Working from home, and having an in-home nanny, also makes it more difficult to save energy on a daily basis, but we are always trying.
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Climate Resilience Support Businesses Owned by Women, BIPOC, or Immigrants
Globally, women typically invest a higher proportion of their earnings in their families and communities than men. What have you done in the past to support women-owned businesses? How can you better support communities by supporting women?

    Alexandria Campbell's avatar
    Alexandria Campbell 4/19/2021 9:26 AM
I personally try to seek out women-owned businesses when trying somewhere new in my community. I can always do a better job by researching more.
  • Reflection Question
Action Track: Climate Resilience Learn More about Silvopasture

Definitely had not heard of this before watching the video. I bet there are more of these in rural Michigan then I am aware of!
  • Reflection Question

Equality in the workplace - and feeling safe in public. Unfortunately there are areas in Michigan that could benefit from more education on how to become inclusive to these people within our community.
  • Reflection Question
Electricity Watch a Video about Methane Digesters
What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

I think the first step to real change would be more community awareness in order to create a sustainable community.

Thank you for raising awareness of women's and gender equality issues. What is the next step to actually address this disparity?

Women are NOT small men! This was very interesting to learn how awareness of women's cycles can help them to understand what is best needed for their fitness lifestyle.
