REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or NatureWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentary(ies) you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/13/2023 7:09 AMCowspiracy is a very insightful watch on Netflix. The amount of methane that is produced in animal agriculture on the environment is a huge concern. Climate change, water use, deforestation and ocean dead zones were all explored regarding greenhouse emissions and environmental destruction.-
Audrey Seifert 4/14/2023 11:11 AMThat's why I left my previous role with a corporate steakhouse chain. Not enough emphasis on sustainable or humane practices along the Supply Chain.

REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Participate in the WorldClimate eLearning SweepstakesWhat is something you learned that you didn't know before that you will take with you into your sustainability journey?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/08/2023 11:51 AMBefore taking this journey I wasn't aware of the vast impact the meat and agriculture industry has on climate. Agriculture is directly impacted by climate change as it is dependent on land, water and other natural resources. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Track My PurchasesHow have you reduced your purchasing habits and what would you like to do next to reduce your consumption habits?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/06/2023 11:08 AMTo reduce my consumption habits I started leaving things in my cart longer prior to checking out. I've noticed if I leave things in my cart for a week before purchasing I go back and realize how many items I thought were needs actually aren't.-
Amanda Martinez 4/06/2023 11:58 AMGrowing up my mom called this the 3-day rule. If you still wanted it in 3 days you could buy it.

Rebekah Buchanan 4/04/2023 10:02 AMVery excited heading into Spring and the first week of earth month. Daily walks have already increased my productivity! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & Livelihood Work-Life BalanceHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/03/2023 11:46 AMWork life balance is particularly important as too much of anything is never a good thing. Sustainable workplaces in general strive to use resources not to impact the environment or personnel health. Practicing more work life balance can lead to improving my overall health. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Take 5-Minute Or Less ShowersWith 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/01/2023 9:28 PMThe 5 minute shower was much longer than I presumed it would be. I imagined a 5 minute shower would feel as if I hopped in and right out but it was actually a decent amount of time. I plan to encourage my nieces to turn the water off while they're brushing their teeth to help conserve even more water. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Watch a Documentary About Food, Water, or Basic NeedsWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Rebekah Buchanan 4/01/2023 9:16 PMWatching Cowspiracy was very eye opening. The shocking yet informative documentary allowed me to reflect on my households overall meat consumption. We tend to lean more towards vegetable options but I've become even more conscious since watching the documentary. Livestock is the heart of the vastly increasing methane emissions -
