REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Watch a Documentary About Food, Water, or Basic NeedsWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Megan Boyer 4/24/2023 10:47 AMI attended the Saving Grace Perishable Food Rescue lunch and learn last week. I learned that Saving Grace is trying to help reduce the amount of food being put into landfills by connecting extra perishable food to those that can use the food. An interesting fact that I learned is that a head of cabbage takes 25 years to decompose!-
Malia Rains 4/29/2023 7:10 AMFor the Omaha folks - Hillside Solutions is a local composting company that is affordable and actively fights this! -
Rachel Orrison 4/25/2023 5:53 AM25 years?! Yikes! I thought all food/plant material we eat would be faster than that.
