the induction plates are easier to clean
They avoid storage of LPS stored under High pressure or the transportation mechanisms required to transport natural gas to your kitchen,

It does not matter that you are Zero Waste or have a Low Carbon Foot Print, what matters is that you are trying....
  • Reflection Question
Basic Needs & Security Get Involved in the Water Justice Movement
Who is affected by water insecurity in your region? How are they affected? How are you impacted by water insecurity?

I believe with exponential urbanisation there is a shortage of all kinds of resources, especially water. However the amount of potable water is finite and it puts a  lot of burden on municipal officials to cater to the rising demands.
  • Reflection Question
Basic Needs & Security Calculate Your Water Footprint
What is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?

I have subscribed to a waterless wash service for keeping the exteriors of my car clean. However once in a while I used to take my car to be washed at a washing center where the car gets a high pressure wash.I stopped that practise a few months ago and I wash my cars & bike using a bucket and cloth rag. a couple of bucks is maximum that you need to wash a car and one bucket is all you need to wash a bike.

  • Reflection Question
Basic Needs & Security Take 5-Minute Or Less Showers
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

I have replaced the standard aerators (which provide foam type water flow) in the wash basin taps with the water saving aerators which provide a shower type flows. These are known to reduces water wastage up to 80%

I attended a webinar on the Sustainable development (Earth Day Leaders Panel) it was interesting to hear the initiatives that Emerson is driving or participating in around the globe. It was even more interesting to hear from our Leadership team about the practices that they have picked up or have been following over the Years.

The eco challenge is going very well. I have been practicing some habits before registering on the challenge. Have learnt some interesting things by reading feeds and listening to experiences of other people. Hope that everyone continues to practice the habits even after the challenge is over...
