I once saw a squirrel trapped in a coke can and my neighbors helped it get out. That really opened my eyes up to just how impactful littering and trash can be to wildlife

While I’ve heard the term biomass thrown around in discussion before, this is the first time I’ve really dived into what exactly it entails. I find it extremely interesting that we are able to turn organic matter into energy. While it was previously only implemented at smaller scales such as powering individual households, they are now starting to produce bioenergy on an industrial scale as technology continues to improve. It seems to be a sustainable way to minimize our use of fossil fuels and other hurtful forms of energy production.
