This was a lot of fun this month. I also noticed that there are some high schools involved in the challenge and I think that is great. All high school/ junior highs should participate in this challenge as a part of their science classes.

Today I learned a litle about greening our deserts. A piece of information I found out today is that Global hemp cultivation can really contribute to climate, soil and water improvement as well as for a better cultivation of crops and a variety of afforestation or reforestation. Hemp can be grown anywhere in any climate.

Even though the information is a bit dated this article is illuminating.

The ecochallenge for me has been going pretty well. Some days more challenging than others but overall it's been educational and good.

This was interesting to learn about. Although it is a renewable energy source it does have disadvantages such as the energy isn't as sufficient, it can lead to deforestation. According to my reading thus far burning biomass creates air pollution that can cause asthma attacks, cancer and premature deaths.
