Pamela's actions

Freshwater + Oceans

Say No to Plastic Straws

An estimated 71% of seabirds and 30% of turtles have been found with plastics in their stomachs. When marine wildlife ingest plastic, they have a 50% mortality rate. By asking for no straw when placing a drink order, I will keep 1 plastic straw(s) of out of the ocean each day.

DAILY ACTIONS

Freshwater + Oceans

Use a Reusable Water Bottle

Itr's estimated over a billion water bottles are thrown away each year. Even if they were recycled, that still uses energy and resources from the earth. I will use a reusable bottle and stop purchasing bottled water, saving 1 disposable plastic bottle(s) a day.

COMPLETED 11
DAILY ACTIONS

Freshwater + Oceans

Raise Awareness for the Conservation of Freshwater and Oceans

I will spend 60 minutes learning more about the importance of freshwater + ocean conservation, and how I can reduce my water use. I will share what I learn with people in person, on social media, and on the feed.

UNCOMPLETED
ONE-TIME ACTION

Biodiversity + Wildlife

Use Reusable Bags

Plastic bags can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and can end up in habitats that harm wildlife. I will not accept any disposable bags when making purchases, including produce bags.

We have a lot of work ahead to protect the many different bee species in Costa Rica.
Great Conversation with Bee green Expert to learn more about tools to help and the importance behind these efforts.

A bad practice is to accumulate cables, chargers and other electronic waste, an even worse practice is to dispose them in the ordinary bin. During this last week of the Ecochallenge, let´s leverage Emerson´s CR RAEETON Campaign and alliance with Solirsa, professionals in processing this materials to leverage the components and give them a second use.

Parte importante de la conservación del agua es evitar el desperdicio. Hoy he reportado una fuga en vía pública en una acera de mi comunidad ante el AYA para proactivamente buscar una solución.

    ¿conocían esta herramienta para reportar?
